Question 1

What makes Comfrey Farms bread special?

Accepted Answer

Our breads and fresh baked items are long-fermented to enhance nutrition and support easier digestion. Each loaf is made with care, using the highest quality ingredients—organic and locally sourced whenever possible. We thoughtfully blend freshly milled whole grains with organic bread flour to create a product that’s both deeply nourishing and wonderfully delicious.

Question 2

How should I store my bread?

Accepted Answer

Your loaf will keep well on the counter for 3–4 days—maybe a bit less if it’s warm or humid in your kitchen. The fridge can make sourdough dry out quicker, so I recommend leaving it at room temp.
Not planning to eat it right away? Just pop it in the freezer to keep it fresh.

Question 3

What is the best way to freeze the bread?

Accepted Answer

To keep your loaf fresh longer, wrap it well and pop it in the freezer. You can also pre-slice it with parchment between slices—super handy for grabbing just what you need.
Let it thaw at room temp when you're ready, and enjoy within 3–4 days.

Question 4

Where is the pickup located?

Accepted Answer

Bread pickup will take place at the designated home address in your selected city. The exact location will be provided after you complete your order.

Question 5

How do porch pick ups work?

Accepted Answer

At checkout, you’ll choose a designated pickup window. Your order will be placed on the porch, clearly labeled with your name, and ready for you to collect at any time during that window. If you need assistance, please don't hesitate to knock for help.

Question 6

What if I can't/don't get my bread during the pick up window I chose?

Accepted Answer

Sourdough’s best the day it’s baked, so please plan to pick up your order the same day you chose. I’ll keep it on the porch through the last pickup window, but anything left overnight can’t be saved—these bakes are fresh and preservative-free.
If something comes up and you need a different time, just text me! I’m always happy to work something out. (You’ll get my number when your order is confirmed.)

Question 7

Is there a way to get a pick up location closer to me?

Accepted Answer

Interested in hosting a porch pickup? Gather a few friends who’d like to order, and let me know—I’d love to bring fresh bakes your way!
